LIVE ACTION ROLE PLAYING

A live action role playing game, or LARP, is a form of role-playing game where the participants physically act out their characters’ actions. The players pursue goals within a fictional setting represented by the real world while interacting with each other in character. We have parlor LARPs (no physical contact) and a “light-touch” LARP, where there is some contact from foam weapons, but it’s more of a “tag” than a hit. (We also have boffer wargames that have much more contact.)

Whether you want to pretend to be an elf, or just want to hit people with foam swords; we have a variety of LARP games and Boffer Battle Games, and even an Escape Room (we’ll talk about those later), so you’ll be sure to find a level of Live Action Game that you’re comfortable with.

ENCAROS

The land of Encaros is in a state of peril! Invaders from the outlands, beyond the mountains, have destroyed their lands with unholy magics and seek to conquer Encaros! The rifts they’ve opened leave blights upon the land, and they are headed our way.

Our army is away, defending our borders against the Outland invaders, but we’re vastly outnumbered. Your royal highnesses have declared that each and every member of the kingdom will need to be trained and tested for the war to come. Prove yourself a worthy champion and you will be rewarded.

Champions can show their valor through feats of combat, skill, knowledge, magic, and even secrets. Your royal highnesses have declared that if the worst should befall our land, we can promise that those who have proven themselves worthy, whether marked as a Champion or Royal Army, will be fed and sheltered through these hard times, and Champions may be granted positions of command in the war to come (ENC 2023).

Members of the royal court will be sent to test and train every citizen for the coming crisis. All brave adventurers willing to travel are called to report and present themselves before the royal court!

WHAT IS EPIC NERD CAMP?

At ENC, adults who enjoy gaming, fantasy, and sci-fi can spend up to a week playing tabletop games, live action role-playing, and doing activities IRL that characters do in-game.
