LIVE ACTION ROLE PLAYING

A live action role playing game, or LARP, is a form of role-playing game where the participants physically act out their characters’ actions. The players pursue goals within a fictional setting represented by the real world while interacting with each other in character. We have parlor LARPs (no physical contact) and a “light-touch” LARP, where there is some contact from foam weapons, but it’s more of a “tag” than a hit. (We also have boffer wargames that have much more contact.)

Whether you want to pretend to be an elf, or just want to hit people with foam swords; we have a variety of LARP games and Boffer Battle Games, and even an Escape Room (we’ll talk about those later), so you’ll be sure to find a level of Live Action Game that you’re comfortable with.

ENCAROS

It’s been 100 years since peace was found between the Volusians and the Ta’Kar. The peoples came across the divide of philosophy between them to stop what their own recklessness had unleashed. Together, they beat back the power that had looked to take advantage of the weakness the wars had incurred. The lands have healed, the city walls torn down, and a century of understanding, mixing and harmony has reigned. But not all accepted this new blended lifestyle. There are always those who can not stop seeing anything ‘other’ as enemy.

Deep in the woods, a rogue faction of druids has waited, sown dissension, and gathered themselves. Over generations they have consolidated power through unholy means and now they have anointed their leader – they stand poised to wipe out the unclean, those who have mixed blood, live within stone, or simply stand in their way.

But the joint peoples have not been caught unawares. They have heard the rumbles, parents told stories of the wayward druids to keep children in line, and now a hero has risen to gather the great adventurers from the lands – those of the present and of the past – to march forth and defeat this new warlord of a corrupted forest. And so into his lair they go, to strike a final blow at that which stands in the way of true lasting peace….

Encaros is a light-touch fantasy LARP, utilizing both weapons and magic.

Join us for an all new ENC original LARP! We’re mashing up a Call of Cthulhu LARP with a live game of Clue. Try to keep your wits about you as an Old God attempts to mind control your group, one by one. Who has already been corrupted?

Cluethulhu is a no-contact parlor LARP.

SPACE QUEST

Our galaxy is in danger! An evil empire is on the rise, as their overlord searches for the collection of artifacts that would give him unlimited power and immortality. Journey with your intrepid crew in a race to find the artifacts first!

Space Quest is a LAARRP (Live Action Augmented Reality Role Play) where you’ll play through a scenario that involves a spaceship mission (utilizing the Artemis Bridge Simulator), and an “away mission” where you’ll have to use your laser gun to blast your way through alien enemy fire with the objective of retrieving an object, then make a speedy escape back through space.  Space Quest is a non-contact mix of a computer game and laser tag.

Each mission is a self-contained adventure, but is also part of a larger story arc campaign. Captains must commit to daily debriefing meetings. They’ll meet with surviving and future mission crews, to track the status of the campaign and warn future crews of the enemy’s movements.

Attend Space Fleet Academy training:

  • Weapons training (Nerf Laser Ops Pro)
  • Choose which position(s) you’ll be playing on the ship (listed below)
  • Flight training (Artemis Bridge Simulator)
  • Mission briefing
  • Captains’ strategy meeting: crew may attend

MISSION DAY

  • Your mission will launch during one activity period over the next three days. If you survive, you’ll report back to mission control for debriefing and to deliver artifacts.

EVERY DAY

  • Captains will meet during dinner at the Captains’ Table to share information about the day’s events, and strategize for future missions.
